NEW DESTINATION BLACKSEA

The New Destination – Trabzon Conference is planned to be held in Trabzon between April 16-18, 2015. The aim of the conference is to discover the real cruise market and new
opportunities in the Black Sea region, to discuss problems of the tourism, cruise development, to promote the region as a common cruise destination in the maritime business. One of the important cities of the region is Trabzon which is located on the historical Silk Road and which has a 5000 years old history. Its significant historical buildings, like one of the oldest monasteries - Sumela Monastery, are a part of the world cultural heritage, and tourists are always craving to see the traces of the world civilization located in Trabzon. Along with Istanbul, Izmir, Trabzon, Sinop etc. ports Turkey is located in a very important point of the Cruise tourism with lots of cultural attractions. Therefore, Trabzon is ready to discuss the image of Turkey as a destination for cruise ships. Moreover, the conference will also focus on the relationship between ports and destinations in order to improve the cruise industry and to maintain the existent infrastructure and strategies of the cruise potential.
